The Volunteer Fire Department of Brandywine, honored tradition by holding a program dedicating Rescue Squad 40 to long time Chief Donald "Bub" Prather. The Squad continues the many years of service by the Volunteers of Company 40.

The combined efforts of Volunteer and Career members represents forward thinking to provide cost effective solutions for apparatus replacement. The Squad body from their previous unit was fully reconditioned and placed on a new Pierce Enforcer cab and chassis.
